No. 80 Psychosocial barriers to Internet usage

“Is not something for me” as a barrier to Internet usage

Bases: EU-15 countries: occasional and non Internet users; NAS-10 countries: respondents who ever have heard of the Internet (incl. don’t know); weighted column percentages
Question: A18f
Sources: SIBIS GPS 2002, SIBIS GPS-NAS 2003

It can be taken as an indication of some likely limitations to the current growth in the Internet penetration levels. This is consistent with higher rates being generally observed in more mature information societies.
